ANIMAFILM fest to host 2 Iran jury members

Iranian artist couple, Mohammad Zare and Rana Vaezi, have been picked to judge at the ANIMAFILM Baku International Animation Festival in the Azerbaijan Republic.

The two will attend the 3rd edition of the event as jury members while their screen play for the short flick ‘Blowing’ won the best Screenplay Award at the previous edition of the same fest.

Zare is an Iranian animation director and stop motion animator.

He has made several short films, including his award-winning title ‘Junk Girl’.

He has won the best animation award at the Milan International Film Festival in Italy for the same short animation.

As a scriptwriter, Vaezi has penned several works, including ‘The Messenger of Peace’ which is on the peace seeking spirit of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

The ANIMAFILM is the first international festival of animation art in the Azerbaijan Republic.

This year’s edition of the event will be held in two cities of Baku and Sheki on October 14-18, 2020.

The festival will show dozens of foreign and national animated films for children and adults.
